Our Leader: Macarena Rose founded Rainforest Realty in 2004. She started Rainforest Realty when she moved here with her teenage daughter from Florida and discovered the real estate agents here were neither licensed nor trained. Macarena came to Belize as a Director of her church and decided to offer her vast experience of real estate with integrity, service and southern charm. She became the first President of the Belize National Association of Realtors® (BNAR) in November, 2007, when the National Association of Realtors® in the United States recognized the Belizean delegations' efforts to create a professional organization across the country.
Once settled, she has become fully involved in the community. Macarena has coached the Belize's Men's Semi Pro Soccer Team. She's the voice Belizeans hear on their cell phones for automated responses. She assists the Lands Department in clearing up title work, and works with others to help with offshore banking, financing, incorporations, and is familiar with Belize in all her glory. Macarena has a great network of real estate agents across the country to whom she refers clients when the properties needed are out of her market area or beyond her expertise. That is a true mark of a professional Realtor, At Rainforest Realty, it is always about the client and what is their best interest. We are the Relocation Specialists of Belize. Lee and Ray Austin: Lee and Ray Austin, a husband and wife team joined the Rainforest Realty Team in 2008. They choose Rainforest Realty, as the owner, Macarena Rose, sold them their own piece of paradise. Ray and Lee have lived in Belize for four years and come with local Cayo real estate experience. They have gained the trust and affection of many Belizeans in the short time they have been in here and have listed and sold their properties in the country.

The Austin Team moved to San Ignacio from Missouri in the USA, where they ran a successful real estate agency. The firm specialized in new construction, property management and home sales. Ray and Lee have built a main house and a guest house in Cayo, so they know the trials of building in a foreign country. Gwido Mar: Gwido is a voice of experience on our agent team. He joined Rainforest Realty after working at another firm for over 3 years. His steady approach to business and attention to detail creates a style uniquely his own. Hector builds relationships and links prospects and clients with the right vendors to get the best deals for everyone involved. As with all the agents at Rainforest Realty, technology used properly is a very valuable tool in making great connections with buyers and sellers throughout the world. Gwido is also bilingual speaking Spanish and English. He is determined to help clients find their dream property in Belize.
Gwido also is a youth leader at a local Church in San Ignacio where he mentors teenagers and young adults to focus on making the right decisions and behavior. He believes in serving his community to make it a better place for everyone. He strongly looks at not only selling property to clients but establishing a friendly relationship that will unite all of us for years to come. Pastor Kotch: Pastor Kotch, a native of Benque Viejo del Carmen, at the western most border of Belize with Guatemala, joined Rainforest in 2007. Known as Benque in these parts, Pastor's knowledge of the area and the people is very helpful when working with clients to locate their "piece of paradise." He is familiar with all of Belize, having worked in the National Police Department and in the Joint Intelligence Coordinating Centre where he reached the rank of Sergeant. Pastor went "global" from there traveling all over Central America, Mexico and Miami. He worked with INTERPOL for a few years before Macarena provided an avenue for him to stay home and spend more time with his family.
Pastor speaks three languages - English, Spanish, and Creole (it is more a local dialect than a language), and coupled with his law and order background he takes clients anywhere with a great deal of presence and authority. His love for Belize is like his love for his family. It is based on respect and basic family values; living in peace and harmony is a gift and a goal for all Belizeans and those looking to join us. Oh, be sure to ask him about his passion for motorcycles! |
